| Speak your peace but keep it under control. Nobody is getting banned and discussion and arguements are how progress is sometimes made. Oh yes I have actually seen gains to a vented hood. My friend here local to me has a self made vented hood. You can see it here 
Anyways we goto shows together and etc. Well on drive to a show 20 mins away we drove off and arrived at our location. Once we were at our location I went over to his car and you can feel the actual hot air rising thru the vents. Within 1 minutes we opened up the actual hoods to prepare for detailing. Within 10 minutes his engine bay had cooled down enough to clean up the area it took mine another 15 minutes for me be able to clean up the area. Also when we first open the hoods there was not that mad rush of heat coming up at you from the engine on his engine as there was with mine. Bottom line his engine did not heat soak itself like mine had. His engine bay runs cooler. Hot air rises and escapes thru any open areas. Also if you look at the aerodynamics of the sweep of the hood there is no extra bumps to change the flow of the air. Now I doubt you will get any true aerodynamics tests for any hood as nobody will spend the money to have it tested.
